Lieke van der Vorst is a young illustrator from the Netherlands who creates fairy-tale images on paper under the name Liekeland. She lives in Helmond, in a house with a large garden, and is kept company by the cat Lino and the chickens. She studied graphic design and painting and in the last years of her studies she founded the Liekeland brand in 2011. She says she is inspired by the beautiful things that surround her: her vegetable garden, cooking, walking around the market and drinking tea in the company of family and friends. He wants everyone to respect animals and to treat them well, and that is exactly what he wants to convey through his illustrations. The paper on which the illustrations are printed is ordered from Artic Paper in Sweden. Artic Paper produces organic and FSC certified paper with a minimum amount of water and energy.
